Parkedge Rd Coastal Loop. Began at the Parkedge Rd access point. Took the Alexandria Bay Track, then connected with the Coastal Path to the Noosa day-use area. Return was via Noosa Hill Walk and Tanglewood Walk using linking tracks to Parkedge Rd.
As I wanted to walk a loop from where I parked the car I decided this access point to the Noosa National Park would work for me.
Street parking, easy access. Safe neighbourhood with residential homes.
A class 4, 2.1km stroll through delightful woodland on sandy track. Shady & cool.
Towards the Bay the path peaks upward via a stepping grid
I used the beach shoreline between the two emergency radio masts to link up with the Coastal Walk.
Panoramic views in all directions
So many little coves to view, and if time and weather permits, excellent for a swim and picnic lunch
Access Track by steps to cove directly off main coastal track
The path 4 (Coastal Path) is well signposted
Aptly named, today I saw in the far distance, a whale jumping around and dolphins arcing nearby
Toilets are available just north of Dolphin Point lookout. Wheelchair access ramp provided
Too difficult to pick out by eye but this mass in the distance across Laguna Bay started building 500,000 years ago.
First glimpse of Hastings St district at Noosa Heads
Just in time, coffee refuel and visitor information
Wheelchair friendly path from the day use carpark to Dolphin Point
A short steep hike of 1.3kms. No views to talk of due to trees but a very pleasant walk
Just like me, a happy wanderer
