Very nice trail with astonishing views. Departure point is very easy to find and the track easy to follow.
No technically difficult but recomended for healthy and well trained people.

This is the best trail i have followed on Cyprus so far. And it is not that difficult! The length & difficulty was perfect for our group. It took us 4+ hours to complete with a lunch break at firewatch house and lots of photo shooting stops.
Amazing sceneries and great variety of vegetation/heights/temperatures.
The first part – from the beginning to firewatch house, is the most challenging. You walk up, up, up, get tired and then you realise you have 9,5 more kilometers to go. So you decide this will not be fun and turn back. Do not do it, because the rest of the trail goes down, with no wind and amazing vegetation.
You will have to climb up again, but only on the last ~3 kilometers and it will be much easier, then on the beginning, i swear. And how a random guy from the internet can lie to you?
Also at the moment we hit the firewatch house it started to rain like hell and rained for 13 minutes. We thought we will have to turn back, because the road will become muddy, but no, it was perfect, we had no added difficulties from it at all.
tl;dr: trail is not very hard, only the first 3 kilometres are. Take some food with you and enjoy the view.

I am very happy that you followed the trail, and that it gave you and your group so much joy despite the rain and other challenges. Please note that I noticed that the sitting area at the fire station is always unlocked, allowing you to have your snack there and have a break. I have uploaded many more trails all around Cyprus, which I hope you will follow and enjoy as much as this one.

Contender for best trail in Cyprus. We visited in Autumn where you really get to appreciate a variety of colours and lush environments. The trail is generally challenging for beginners, but the overall experience is well worth the perseverance. November to December you can also find edible mushrooms along the trail side (only for the trained eye).
