I followed the first half of this trail in March 2018 when there had been 2 weeks of persistent rain.
The trail is classed as 'easy' which is true for a competent 4x4. You will definitely need low range gears for the steep ascents / descents, and AT tyres. Because most of the track is rocky / stony it wasn't much affected by the wet weather.
If one likes desolate high sierra landscapes this is for you. Some of the views are stunning. However there isn't much variety so I decided to cut it short after half a day's trailing.
If you want to see Portugal's wild sierra and have a sturdy 4x4 this is a good place to start.
